Care in France contributes to 7% of GDP and represents 9% of jobs, according to a study commissioned by Les Acteurs de la French Care from Cabinet Asterès.

The French Care Actors worked on a study with the Asterès firm, headed by Nicolas Bouzou, to analyze and quantify the net economic contribution of the healthcare sector, within a broader scope, to the French economy. This is the first time that the net contribution calculation method has been used for the healthcare sector, highlighting the major economic units of the healthcare system. It highlights one of the main challenges for the healthcare sector in the years to come: investing in non-healthcare actors to transform and optimize the healthcare system for the benefit of patients.
